Arthur C. Clarke RIP
I saw this in the news earlier, but haven’t posted about it yet. Given his farewell to his fans type birthday message in December, it doesn’t come as a big surprise. I’ve read a few of his books, but I’m not what you’d call a huge fan. Still, I recognise that SF has lost one of its greats. And then there was also his description of geostationary satellites for communications.
“He never grew up; but he never stopped growing. ” - Clarke’s self epitaph. Seems fitting to mention Childhood’s End again here…
