Well, I learned something from this exercise in attempting to give a YouTube video about Sibel Edmonds a boost towards going viral. Apparently, YouTube doesn’t count embedded video views in their stats. So, scratch embedding videos as an option (if we want to see a viral YouTube video on Sibel Edmonds).
This video fell about 63K views short of what it needed in order to get high enough on the most viewed list to get noticed today. Or, if you prefer, 16K short of making the top 100 list, where it could start to attract more notice.
More planning and advanced notice, support from the large community of bloggers, recommenders, etc. at DU, DKos, BradBlog, and elsewhere and linking to instead of embedding. Those three things combined might actually give the dream a chance.
