Peter Joseph’s movie Zeitgeist

Since this is consistently my blog’s most popular post, I may take the liberty of updating it from time to time. Note that there are now “debunks” and critiques of Zeitgeist around on the internet, both video and website. For my admittedly incomplete take on one of them (conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/) and mention of another (webskeptic.wikidot.com/zeitgeist-federal-reserve) see the post A “debunking” of the movie Zeitgeist.
Prior to this update, it looked like this

ETA Oct. 6th, 2008- I’ve now got a post up here with an embed of the recently released Zeitgeist movie sequel- called Zeitgeist Addendum, as well as posting a few notes and quotes from the sequel. A new site created by Zeitgeist’s creator Peter Joseph is also in the works (no content yet, but should be up by October 10th).

It’s not my movie. If it had been my movie, this post would most likely be titled ”My movie Zeitgeist” by Peter Joseph. But instead it is titled

Peter Joseph’s movie Zeitgeist…
For those of you searching for Zietgiest, the word is correctly spelled Zeitgeist- not Zeitgiest or Zietgeist either.
Thank you for showing interest in the amazingly popular internet video Zeitgeist, which was the most viewed Google video for several months and had over 5 million views and was getting 40,000 views per day late last year when Google stopped showing such statistics for videos.

Anyway, now that you are here and looking for more information about Zeitgeist and/or Peter Joseph, I’ll point you towards the official Zeitgeist website in a minute or two. However, before you head off there, perhaps never to return here, I’d like to write a bit on Zeitgeist.

It’s a great movie which covers a lot of material, but it does have limitations, as all such things do. For one, it is stuck in the past (it was released nearly a year ago, and the world has not stood still since then). This means that in order to know what the current Zeitgeist is, you will have to continue to read, watch and research the topics which Zeitgeist covers.

I have blog posts on news articles and information which may help you to keep current- mostly posted in categories such as privacy, datamining, Sibel Edmonds, Patriots Question 9/11, Zeitgeist, 9/11 Truth and probably a few others as well.

A recommended resource for many links to topics of interest is the library in the Pilots for 9/11 Truth forum. There you will finds tons of links to good reading and watching material categorized and put in alphabetical order. Also of note there is the Research corner, which provides links to “large resources that span multiple topics”

What topics are covered (in various levels of detail) in the library? Let’s take a look:

Okay, those are a few (my blog and the P4T library) recommended resources in addition to the Zeitgeist site itself for informing yourself further.

Now, I’ve also written a bit here about “Zeitgeist, what can we do?” to which I will add a few more thoughts. Inform yourself, don’t take everything in Zeitgeist (or any other single source of information- no matter how good it seems) as the final word on the subject, and pass along what you are learning to others. Keep digging. Keep asking questions. Start conversations about this information (either online or offline). Start to think, write and talk about solutions. Because you are asking questions and seeking answers, you are already ahead of a lot of other people, so part of what you can do is to help spread the word on these issues. However, keeping balance in your life is an important thing to keep in mind- here are some good words of advice on doing that.

If you are involved in the political primary process in support of Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Cynthia McKinney, or Mike Gravel, congratulations. But I would suggest that you not give up hope when your candidate of choice doesn’t make it through the primary (barring a miracle, of course). If you are working for the candidacy of one of the more “mainstream candidates” you might want to take a second look at that in light of the information in the movie Zeitgeist. The game has been rigged with tons of big primaries coming early and the mass media anointing chosen candidates with constant coverage. So, what next? That’s the question I want you to ask yourself.

Okay, thanks for reading. Feel free to leave a comment here or in one of the other posts on my blog in an effort to “start a conversation”.

Here’s the official Zeitgeist: The Movie site

If you want to help spread the word about Zeitgeist, keep in mind the date of March 15, 2008- Z Day. See if you can help organize a local showing (public or private) of Zeitgeist on that day. For more information, see the Zeitgeist Day page.

Speaking of datamining, I am in the process of doing a series on the Army’s Able Danger program. While looking at open-source, unclassified information, it connected Condoleeza Rice to Chinese proliferation. Nice, huh? See my sidebar for the Information Dominance series.

  2. Yankee Doodle Says:

Oh, sorry — that is, Able Danger was looking at open source information on Al Qaeda, and while looking at Al Qaeda it came up with the Rice-China connection. See especially Part 4 for starters, but I address this in other posts as well, not just in that series.

This is exactly the kind of thing that Sibel Edmonds is talking about.

There has been some traffic for this entry translated into Spanish by Google. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the translation, since my Spanish language skills aren’t up to the task, but it looks fairly good, from what I can tell. I’m sure there are some idioms which don’t translate literally, though, like connect the dots, for instance. Anyway, I’m glad to see that there is some interest in this post. Here’s the Google translated link for anyone who is interested-

  6. lookinfwd2? Says:

I started my search for truth simply by investigating why Tom Cruise’s wife would leave him over scientology and what was this about a bomb shelter anyway. Of course, one thing led to another and here I am. It has been some time since the 9/11 incident, and I tell you, for the longest time, even the suggestion that it was not as presented was so revolting to me, well, let’s just say it took some time to even consider anything other than the official story.

With that in mind, I have to ask why you arranged the Z movie with the section on religion first, not last, for when the viewer would be warmed up to the idea of the world as we know it being a house of cards – an illusion. My fear, as far as spreading the word through the Z movie is concerned, is that telling folks that all “religion” and related stories are false, will instantly turn off a good portion of the people who might be woken to inquiry before the movie before what matters most – that there really is a man behind the curtain –

I seem to have lost my ability to put to words what I think might be a fatal flaw for the movie. I just think it might be more effective at reaching people if the section on religion were later in the movie.

That said, thank you for your work – I am spreading the word within my family and circle of friends as much as I can without being labeled a Kook. Keep up the good work – Thank You – Ken

  7. wecanchangetheworld Says:

    Hi Ken-
I just wanted to clarify for you Zeitgeist isn’t a movie which I, the author of this blog made. I just like the movie and am working to spread the information.

As far as your question goes, I recognise that some people have difficulty accepting the parts about religion which come first in the movie, but I think people who have difficulty with that may also find other parts of the movie difficult to swallow if they were presented first as well.

The movie’s three parts- religion, the United States, and financial matters (or God, country and money, if you prefer) all serve in different ways to prop up a belief system which most people in the western world have been raised believing. No matter which part is addressed first, it may be difficult and threatening for people.

Personally, I suspect that the reason that Peter Joseph chose to open with religion rather than the other two is that it gives the reader the most historical background. Beginning with 9/11, for instance, even if one went back to the roots in the middle east and oil would only take the audience back a century or so at most. While financial issues could be taken back as far as (or nearly so) as religion, that would probably make for a long movie all by itself. Take, for instance The Money Masters- http://www.themoneymasters.com/synopsis.htm which clocks in at 3 1/2 hours. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-515319560256183936

As well, 9/11 has had several full length movies made about it. So, to get a quick but relatively whole picture, religion seems to me to be the best place to start off a 2 hour film. But I can’t speak for Peter Joseph, that’s just my opinion. If I feel that someone might not be accepting of the first part, sometimes I recommend people might want to skip over it and watch some of the other parts of the video instead (or first). I hope this comment helps you.

  8. T.K. Goforth Says:

I think if you left out the religion stuff you’d have a lot of more people backing you. When you attack the heart of people’s faith (which of course can’t be proven by man’s techniques — it is “realized”), people stop listening. It’s too bad — you had some good info, but your credibility, after Part I, is questioned. You lost an entire audience. And your research is flawed. Most people who have done the research realize that Jesus was not born on December 25, but in the spring. I do realize the church has caused harm, but it’s also caused a lot of good. We have come a long way from God’s intent. And, there are alot of Christians who realize that. You’re right — we need to love each other, though…that is one thing you said right.

  9. wecanchangetheworld Says:

T.K.- it’s not my movie. I didn’t make it. Those who don’t want to watch the first part of it are not obligated to. The movie is also available in sections (at YouTube, for instance). Since it is now getting 2 million views a month, I’d say it’s doing pretty well, despite its flaws- which I agree I does have some. Someone industrious might even be able to cash in on this month’s “Zeitgeist” ( http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m177/wassertanzen13/Google-video-Zeitgeist-January-2008.jpg ) by making a perfect commercial movie incorporating this type of information. I’d pay to see it.

  10. Aleksandra Hunyadi-Deacon Says:

    Saludos from Spain!

First I´d like to thank you very much for making this film. It has made me feel very naïve, but that was really necessary. I knew most of the bits in part I, from my own conclusions, since I am a practising Atheist …

I now live in Sevilla, Andalucía, in the south of Spain, and I have sent the link to everyone I know, but so far the link to the events seem to be coming up with some sort of… server error?? Or something, I am not very good at computers. Sorry, I can´help you there…
That´s why ,on Sunday, mainly for the irony of the day, I´m having people over so they can see the film at my place. I´ll let you know how it goes.

What I can help you with really is with the cleaning up of the grammar in the spanish translation, which I assume and hope is totally automatic, because it´s pretty much ununderstandable if you don´t know before hand what you´re supposed to be reading. And if you know, it´s not that clear either.
I have worked as a translator before, and one of the things you don´t do is translate people´s first and last names. I inform you with all my ingenuity, since you are very much THE informer here, that you are known in Spain as “Pedro José” by people reading that page, which is basically the same as if Julio Iglesias was known as July Churches (translated name) in the U.S. You see the problem it causes when it comes to searches, etc.

So, I´m volunteering to do that, and if you want, send me the links to the French and Italian translations as well, because, if they are automatic, they are likely to be ghastly too, and you are probably known as Pierre Joseph in France and Pietro Giuseppe in Italy.:)
I´m good enough at both french and italian, perhaps not as confident as in English, but if I have doubts, I have ready access to help from native speakers of both languages in my Uni.

I need a few days to do this, because my health is not great, but I can have all three in less than a week, provided I can ask you once a day to clarify terms with which I might not be familiar. If you have the time to do this, so do I. It will help me focus away from my illness as well. I need that anyway.

I would like to ask you a question concerning Spain´s current political situation: is the socialist government, based on any knowledge that you might have, just as corrupt as the Partido Popular?? Do I even bother to vote? Are elections staged??

I might be in hospital by election day, but if I´m not, I´d like to know I´m not being toyed with by the people I think are less bad.. I´m not a fan of either party, and like I said, I´m quite naïve, but the thing that comes to mind first is to vote for our current president to knock the Partido Popular out of any chances of coming back to power (they were responsible for S-Pain´s participation in the Iraki War, and for covering up lies with more lies, as José María Aznar latter admitted, although not in so many words).

If you think I can be useful at all, please let me know so I can get to work before I have to go to the hospital (this might not happen yet, but I wil know for sure on March 3rd. In any case, I will have enough time before I go on that day to do the translations, if you want.

    Thanks again.

    Aleksandra Hunyadi-Deacon

  11. wecanchangetheworld Says:

Hi there, Aleksandra. Thanks for your comment. First, off I’m not Peter Joseph. I did provide Google translation links for this one blog entry, so they are automatic. As far as I’m aware, Spanish was the only language which literally translated the words in the name Peter Joseph. I left it that way more out of amusement than because I thought it was accurate. I know that the automatic translations are notoriously poor and are often incomprehensible. The reason I decided to post links to them at all was that I had noticed that this blog post was getting a significant number of hits from Spanish language translations of it, so I decided to provide the links for a few other languages.

If you think that something I’ve written here is worth translating into Spanish or other languages, by all means feel free! If you have questions as to the meaning of anything on this page, feel free to ask. But, as I say, I’m neither Peter Joseph nor associated with him.

Unfortunately, I’m not aware of politics too much outside of US politics. However, I suspect that probably the things covered in Zeitgeist hold true in many if not most developed countries in the world now. I would encourage you to seek out local political bloggers on the internet, since often they tell more of the real story than the press will. I hope this helps clarify things for you. Good luck with your showing of the movie! If it goes well, you might consider participating in a world Zeitgeist day showing on March 15th, even though the deadline has passed for it to be an official event.

  12. Aleksandra Hunyadi-Deacon Says:

Ok, I think I will have a look anyway and see what I can do. Sorry for confusing your identity, the meds are making me a bit less alert just now,and the first time I came in, I just looked at the spanish link , and when I am confronted with a language problem that I can help with, especially for a great cause like this, I have to do my best to help.
I totally failed to read this morning, though!! :)
But obviously your opinion matters if you are writing in this blog. If I am not in hospital, I would love to go to Seville´s event. Everyone I talk to about this is giving me blank looks, though. How discourging. I feel like shouting at them! Or the equivalent in netspeak. Which is caps.
Anyway, thanks again, if not for making the movie, then for making this blog. I will find the libary topics most helpful when I can read again! :)
    Aleksandra Hunyadi-Deacon.

  13. Aleksandra Hunyadi-Deacon Says:

P.S. And if I feel it´s going to help my peers understand Zeitgeist better, I will probably translate some of those links, if health allows.

  14. wecanchangetheworld Says:

    Great!

  15. Ant Says:

I agree with many of you. The movie is trying to fight two battles in one film diluting the effectiveness of both messages. Being an open-minded religious man, I was able to stomach the beginning portion of the movie, but I highly doubt people with similar convictions would bother watching passed the first 10 minutes of it. Parts 2 and 3 of the film is mind-bending and it would be a shame that people fail to see it. Don’t give the cynicist/skeptic the opportunity to dismiss the message.

BTW, wecanchangetheworld, you’re not P.J. I got the memo.

  16. Mr. Anonymous Says:

If you don’t like any part of it, it’s because “they” have already made a good job on you.

    Try to think on this:

Tomorrow there will be no money at all, what would you do?

    Try harder….

Money is a way of control and the system keeps the rich, rich and the poor, poor.

    Regards.

  17. The regressionist Says:

If we take a look at our current political situation we see very interesting things. Looking at the way the political campaign trail has played out during the primary race, the coverage, the polls, the demographics, each and everything that has led up to this, we are upon an inevitable split or “division”. Going back a year, we see a slew of conservative republicans leading the race in an acrimonious battle over which will be the toughest on immigration, the most militant and the most benign to the rich, hence, Romney, Guilianni and Huckabee and a lingering John McCain, on his way out, “liberal” republican, left unconsidered. Once again, the farce, put false faces on the culprits, it was obvious votes weren’t going that way in the end, thus by bringing back McCain you’ve brought a seemingly decent candidate in comparison to the other 3 televised candidates to draw the split, shock and surprise. Then we have Obama and Clinton representing so many elements of vision and concept, that have nothing to do with the representation of an ecclectic mass of millions, considering women and black men are supposedly represented to begin with. We’ve allowed this debate to go on, neck and neck, until the point in which the democrats will thrash at eachother so violently that neither supporters will vote for the other candidate come november, so you have obama’s voting for only obama, hillary only for hillary and when either one drops, we have been so manipulated to hate the other, that we drift to McCain. But then we’re all pissed, we’re all fooled, hence revolutionary scenario one, very unhappy democrats, societal split. Scenario 2, obama loses, the black people are angry, hillary loses, women are angry, conservatives are angry either way, the systems held accountable. We either stand etherized or chaos breaks, thus even if we need to be led to the cataclysm, opportunity avails, sadly it has taken too long, but the time is definately ripe.

  18. ament Says:

Those who are put off by the religious part of the movie are making a valid point and missing the point simultaneously. The movie does attack the “factuality” of the central tenants of religion, but that is not the point being made. The point is that a free people cannot afford to allow themselves to be divided and conquered by the powers that be by playing on their religious bigotry and fervor.
The movie HAD to shake belief in the majority religion because if OUR religion is really factual, moral or logical, then bigotry and fervor in its promotion and the demotion of all other religions might seem justifiable to those not yet able to see that freedom is the only morality and slavery is the only immorality.

  19. Disciple of RP Says:

The truth hurts sometimes. I’m agnostic (not athiest, tyvm), so part 1 of the film was old news for me. I’m interested, those who said the research was flawed, DO elaborate. Someone mentioned the Jesus born on the 25th thing, the filmmaker touches on this and everything else in a radio interview that can be heard in FIVE parts on youtube.com.

I implore anyone interested in this movie and it’s message to listen to Peter Joseph speak in the aforementioned interview. Just YOUTUBE SEARCH: Peter Joseph interview

I live in Chile and just about 2 weeks ago my sister show me this incredible movie, at first It was too much to handle, but inmediately I felt that I needed to share all this information with all the people I know, but for as much that I want to spread the zeitgeist message, in my contry most of the people are slow readers, and the only way to get to them I think , is by getting a translated version of the documentary, I’m trying to get one to start making copies; if anyone could help me in this cause, maybe we can reach other latinoamerican countries, (and obiously a portugues version for the brazilian people). Well I hope we can be able to change the worl…I just want to know how can I help more…for anything this is my email e.rios.s@gmail.com good luck and good night

  22. I am free minded and i will fight Says:

Hello.. I have just watched the movie, yes, a bit late you might say, but better late then never.

I have been raised as a free minded person. When i was a child, i was told that i could visit church if i wanted to, but i didnt really understand why should i stand in a “church”, so at the time unknown place to me, listening to some uknown “grandpa” who was telling me things i couldnt understand.. Years passed by, and i grow up a little.. I am not that old as my words may sound, i am 25 years old as we speak.. I always liked history, and because my father is a historian, it gave me more opportunity to read about history.

It was always a mistery to me, why would anyone believe in a higher being.. Specially because of the age we live in.. If you read the books, you cant ignore the cruelty that was commited in the name of the “faith”. Yes, it teaches that we must love each other, but u dont need to blindly follow the words of some people to love each other. I will go as far and say that “Christianity” to me is the biggest bullshit the world has ever known.. How people blindly ignore everything that was done in the name of “Christianity” is beyond me.. But dont think that i am some kind of religion hater.. I have friends that go to church, even though most people arround me dont go to church anymore, because finnaly people are realizing the lies that church is spreading.. I never really cared if someone is a man of “faith”, but i never really got an answer to why they blindly follow the faith .. So good things will happen ? Comeon..

You only need to take a look around you.. People are dying, suffering, justice is not served.. But i am still amazed how many people actually have no clue what is going on in the world.
One said it well before me. “If you don’t like any part of it, it’s because “they” have already made a good job on you.” Exactly..

Lets take a look at American people.. There was a show some time ago, where random people were asked about the rest of the world.. They didnt even know where Europe is.. Let alone countries.. And people laughed.. I cried.. Because of that people are being mislead so easily. Manipulated, controlled.. And Bush.. How that “moron” was in charge for the last 8 years is beyond me..

Lets take a look in the WTC example.. You dont have to be an expert to see that YOU DONT COLLAPSE THE BUILDING by hitting in the top. How do you cut down a tree? exactly..
Everyone around me seems to know that the war in Iraq and Iran is because of the oil. So few people can get even richer.. I asked my self not so long ago, why are we paying taxes ?
Where i am from, there is a law that say we must pay taxes.. Tbh, i didnt know that there is no law in America.. I have so many unanswered questions.. But should i just let it go, should i just say like they said back in the time, if we have no answer, there must be a higher being behind it? I dont think so.. I think we are better then this..
I hope that people will realize the SO OBVIOUS truth, and that people will finally embrace that things happen because that is the way life, not because someone in the cloud said so.

    WAKE UP PEOPLE.

I really had a good good article in my mind, but somehow i lost a lot because my mind is full atm.. Maybe i ll finish it later..

if you ask yourself ,does it make sense and you cant answer with yes ,on my side i can say it makes no sense,so why doesnt it.
the truth makes always sense its almost a natural law,in harmonie .
if you look today around ,people are highly confused about their lifes and the things they have to do in order to make it .when also never realy theirs.always pleasing somebody who holds the hands wide open and never get enough.
you think its natural to get your dose of medication and go out in the world and do what you are supposed to do,is it natural to give your children retalin to calm them so the teacher have it easy to wash their little heads.
is it natural that you have to give away your fruits of work to somebody you dont even know, you never get ask if you agree to do so.or did somebody asked?
you do a great job with page,i will do a great job to turn people on to come here to watch and have them think for them self.i hope it all works out and we become what we deserve:FREE!

    Who is Peter Joseph?

  27. wecanchangetheworld Says:

    Hi a,
Peter Joseph is the name used by the creator of the movie Zeitgeist. Apparently his actual name may be James Coyman based on the company registration data for the company GMP, LLC which I guess are the distributors of the movie…

  28. I'd like to be anonymous, but, IP addresses, you know. Says:

To: “Peter Joseph” care of “wecanchangetheworld”

“Peter Joseph” has attracted much attention. This puts him in position to have relatively great influence. I’m offering an argument that Peter Joseph should use to effectively educate people through the attention he’s gained.

I’ve listened to a couple of Peter Joseph’s audio interviews on youtube, and I’m disappointed that he’s missed the essential argument against the irrationality that people repeat over and over against reason and for religion, and as response Peter Joseph volleys, again and again, the only ball that mystics can play with by default.

In Peter Joseph’s film, he says next to nothing about philosophy; only his conclusion with some vague Kantian feel-good “one organism” collective consciousness nonsense. This is unfortunate because after a profoundly angering, entertaining, and accurate history lesson, he suggests the beginning of a solution with what amounts to answering the problem with what amounts to simply: a bowl of JELLO.

In Peter Joseph’s film, his reasoning against religious stories is exceptionally simple and effective through means of historic evidence. That is one way; and an appropriate method to use to get a fools attention. Obviously he’s done that, for all the mystics aware of his video. Well done, Sir. However, when someone poses an irrational argument against your reasoning, you must attack the foundation of the subject. You must not let their irrational implications get by your intellectual grasp with nothing but silence; or worse: acceptance. Reason is worthless within the context of an irrational argument.

Take history away from a religion and you’re left with the essential: philosophy. So, if a mystic argues with you about the facts of history, you must not participate in the argument, because it is nonessential. History is not philosophy. And as important: You must not agree with him when he claims that his irrational morality, presented in his imaginative history book (”Bible”), is a “wonderful way to live.” You must stop the volley, let his ball drop to the floor, and present the essential argument against irrationality, against faith of all brands… That: MORALITY IS…get this: RATIONAL.

THAT IRRATIONAL MORALITY, the morality of self-sacrifice, is SELF-DESTRUCTIVE, and a means to his slavery by whomever is willing to pick up the leash he’s made for himself through his own choice to HIS MIND’S DEFAULT: Faith.

That murder, theft, fraud, force of any kind is acceptable only those who are willing to approve that same use of force against themselves: because they do not value their own lives. To “value” is rational, and of course natural because we’re all mortal.

Your argument should be THAT SIMPLE. That, HISTORY ASIDE, no such thing as “The Bible” is needed for, nor compatible with, morality.

Without that, an extra hour of talk-radio time would be just as worthless as the first. Please, Peter Joseph, use your time, and the attention of masses of fools in the could-have-been-great USA and every other country on Earth, more wisely.

    P.S.

Revise the ending to your excellent film with a word about INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. Talking vague shit about “one organism” and collective consciousness is a contradiction to the pursuit of Freedom. Freedom is Individual Rights. Without recognizing that a “Right” is possible only to THE INDIVIDUAL human being because he is born with the capacity to reason it (REASON IS HIS NATURE) then there is no such thing as Right, only Collective Mob Rule. But there is no such thing as collective consciousness. If there were, it would be like some extreme form of Heroin to every selfless, faith fool on the planet, and they would all drown to death in it… and the world would be left to those who have the self esteem to demand their own reason for their choices. Ha, A nice thought, but nevertheless there can be no such thing as collective consciousness. Attempting to conjure up something so esoteric is the same as a mystic’s groping to argue historic facts to a philosopher — Worthless.

Unfortunately I cannot find a direct route to send this message to “Peter Joseph”

I have just finished viewing zeitgeist addendum on googlevideos. Iwas a little scared that it was not going to be there, after having come online last night (it’s supposed release date Oct3) and it was not posted. But alas, i was able to view the addendum. Having never been exposed to anything of this magnitude, presented so skillfully and simply, i am nothing but gracious for the “realization” that peter joseph’s films have offered me. Not that the concepts of breaking down every social structure that’s been engrained into ourselves is easy to swallow, but waking up to the corruption of every aspect of it is crucial to understanding myself. Even though none of these concepts have really settled right in my psyche (eg. working for a paycheck we hardly see, voting for representatives to see more of the same, no real change, worshipping a God who never shows himself; i have no relationship with Christ and i’ve been a supposed christian my whole life. the more i read the bible, the more holes i find)The weight of understanding what is real holds more worth to me then anything i could ever own.I am excited to be a part of the zeitgeist movemment that will launch soon, I have a 2 year old daughter that I don’t want to raise to be another sheep for this monarchal society. I hope that others are willing to open their minds and realize that change is inevitable, this way of life will crumble and we need to have a humane alternative to NEW WORLD ORDER. These films have changed my thinking, and i am so glad to although not be ‘unplugged from the matrix’ at least able to see realities that i never cared to examine before. And more important still, eager to change.

Thanks so much Peter Joseph for giving hope to us free thinkers!

Not only is it frustrating that people will so eagerly follow the belief of a savior – the prince in silver armor – or the power that will protect us from the so called “Bad forces”, when we have in essence been the bad force all along, but I am also finding that most people will start to dislike you or label you as a “crazy person” like they have labeled us for so many centuries.

So in this message im am now typing – I want to tell everyone to stay strong… keep thinking… keep searching… if your a friend to yourself and you love yourself… then you dont NEED anyone else to approve of anything you say or do… besides… its thier fault thier blind… we cant save everyone…

Peace and Love for everyone – Happiness is within!

THANK YOU for Zeitgeist: Addendum, Joseph! It is powerfull piece of art you have committed ;) .. no movie documentary had such an impact on me as this one.. and i’ve seen quite a lot for last few years. I just want to add a point, that we need to find dubbers for it in as many languages as we can, its very crucial i belive, not many people can read, visualise and think at the same time, which i repeat is very crucial to understanding the problem, solution concept.
PS i know you are not Joseph, but i thank You too and all people involved..
Polish people support you in a PEACE against a WAR.

  32. REVOLT Says:

ZEITGEIST is an important film that contains information that is more valuable than an MBA. It’s everything ‘THEY’ don’t want you to think about. That’s the trick. You gotta keep these truths at the center of your thinking with each decision you make. Imagine a world where NO money is needed and fear of other humans is unnecessary. Seriously, imagine a world where we all do what we do best, What we love doing, and it all works. A world where you could volunteer for many ‘chores’. You may wonder who would be a garbage man? Think about it, what is judges were janitors for a while. What if police officers taught art classes for a while. What if Artists were cops for a while? There’s so many possibilities.

  33. CHANGE Says:

Thank you. I just want to know how to help how can we start changing the way things work????

  34. Chris Connell Says:

Wow, I was with you on the religion myths… but you can’t seriously believe that the central bank’s agenda is to control people through debt. That is a post hoc ergo propter hoc argument if I have ever heard one. Fractional banking is not the enemy, dirty hippies are. Go out and read Atlas Shrugged and then cry for all the time you have wasted not adding real value to this world. Still, your arguments are usually pretty to look at so keep it up.

  35. Whitrolf Says:

Zeitgeist was a good film that needs to be viewed by everyone. I loved it. The only thing I’d change in that flick is to put the religion part towards the end where he talks about the overdose of religion and entertainment, etc., etc., cause I think the religion part could cause some people to turn it off and miss the critical stuff. Yes, I hate religion, and I totally believe the world would be better off without it. I wish people would be spiritual and let religion die. It just kills me how religion makes all these righteous claims and quote things that Christ allegedly said, yet they live the opposite of what they profess to believe. I loved this flick though.

  36. Mike Says:

    Joseph,
I letsen to ALex Jones and listened to your “interview” with him on October 15th. I belive you were treated unfairly by Mr. Jones and that you responded well despite his adolecent outbursts. His outbursats were based on the fact that your questions and linear line of thinking was exposing his intellectual limits. Your movie was very well put together and clear in its presentation. I appreciate your way of thinking and ability to stay focused. Please keep it up, “Illegitemi non Carborundum”!

  37. Aristotle Says:

From a Zeitgeist point of view, how does a loaf of bread make it to the kitchen table?

  38. Jay Says:

I just watched Peter Joseph on the Alex Jones show (internet, not radio). It was incredible. I have respect for both people, and regardless if whether you fit on one side more than the other, Peter’s ideas and responses seemed to ring true to my being. That’s pretty incredible to me because I’m not easily swayed. Imperfect, just not easily swayed.

  39. LadyCaritas Says:

When saw the first zeitgeist movie it was very compelling and it changed the way i thought about a lot of things, but at that time i didnt know much about bertrand russel, had not read much of caroll quigley’s work, and had a very limited understanding of how the think tanks, governmental bodies and resource industries such as oil, coal ect, intertwined, i also had not finished Machiavelli’s the prince, or the 12 caesars and plato’s republic, and h. g. wells books or seen the movie “things to come” I also had not taken a critical look at what actually happened in china before and up to the cultural revolution.

The man who made zeitgeist is in my opinion well meaning but stuck. Religions are not the problem, they are as much a part of humanity as anything else and if he cannot see a world in peace without them in their current form his plan is already dead. I am not into any religion, and after much pondering about it I have come to realization that not only is it part of perfection to hear the arabic call to prayer, and appreciate the beauty in someone finding strength and meaning in their faith, it is profound that a mother who watches her children go out into the world lights a candle in prayer.

He can go ahead and found a city somewhere and live in it and be happy, but i think the world will be happy when people stop planning life and just live it. What alex is trying to say is extremely nuanced and a lot of his understanding was shaped and forever altered by the writings of the people who have said this all before.

Mr. Joseph does not understand the first principal of peace, Know Thyself- christianity being restrictive is his veiw and he sees it as negative because he is familiar with it, if he were in iraq he would be saying the same thing about islam. What pains me is that, when i first saw this movie with its total hurtful, dismissal and crass veiws on religion mixed with 9/11 truth, it just smelled like a wedge movie.

Anyone who wants peace will work with the pieces they have, does he think that the world will want anything to do with him at this rate, no, they wont and he will drag the entire left down with him.

Im sorry sweetheart, though you may truly believe what you are saying, you cant be for the battle when you are yelling at your comrades. The christians are on our side, the muslims are on our side. We cant win without them, and they cant win without us. its possible that whoever has led him here knows that if he talks about 9/11 truth and disses christians, it will get us all off track “scattered, divided” and christians, muslims, jews, hindu’s will pick God over you in a heartbeat.

Humans are like a formula, what has been done once can be done successfully again- there are people in the world who get off on evil. they exist. I know what christianity is, what its core values are and motivations, everything Alex has done has been in line with that, I can tell what motivates alex, and the subtile things he does and how he just wants to tell as many people as possible, as much as he can to help.

the zeitgeist franchise does not do that, knowingly or unknowingly weakens our cause. I dont expect Mr. Joseph to believe alex at all, he cant, i didnt, i had to read them calling us “human waste” for myself-

Alex’s style may be a little too hyper for people unhooking from the liberal side of the dialectic, try Alan Watt, he is very laid back but his stuff is heavy- alex believe it or not cant tell you half of the stuff he’s read and i know because when i read it my mouth drops open and i have to stop and cry.

Mr. Joseph is almost there, i was where he is now, its a process by the time its over, he will wish he had a religion to hold on to, a god to cry out for, yes, its that bad :(

    hello author of this website…
i watched zeitgeist last night and was absolutely horrified at how much sense it made
i was wondering if you had any information on the ‘zeitgeistmovieisfake’ website?
and why there is really not much information on peter joseph or ‘james coyman’
    its all very confusing…
but i noticed that the man who wrote that website had nothing to back him up
still, it would be interesting to know why it was made… if you know why it was made.
    thanks! :)

    Hi Emma,
I can’t really answer your questions too well except perhaps to give you a few guesses. “Why isn’t there much information on Peter Joseph or James Coyman?” Perhaps because he feels that the message is more important than the messenger, I don’t know… that would be one guess. “Why was that website created?” Any internet information which people feel is both popular and threatens their view of the world tends to grow “debunking” offshoots. Some of them may have merit to their arguments, but more of them seem to think that if they expose a few flaws or untruths (or percieved untruths) then that completely discredits everything. However, real life isn’t generally like that, being much more complicated. One thing to bear in mind as well is that what is called a strawman argument can be made into a very large thing (even a two hour documentary, conceivably). Then once the documentary has been made, its flaws can be pointed out in order (perhaps) to encourage people to believe that nothing within the movie could possibly be true because of its flaws. Whether Zeitgeist is a case of that or not, I don’t know (though I doubt it, it does remain a possibility and it does have flaws)
One common argument used against people in the 9/11 Truth movement is “oh, they’re really just out to make money”. But, if you think about it in a different way, wouldn’t you expect a professional author like David Ray Griffin (to give just one example) to sell the books he has written for money? To have a professional (author, filmmaker, aviation professional, etc.) devote a large block of their time and energy for a year or so to creating a work such as Zeitgeist or The New Pearl Harbor is not a small thing to ask. If they do it well, why shouldn’t they make money from their efforts? Would we expect a nurse, say, to give up a year’s worth of income in order to write a book and then complain that she was “making money” from selling the book? I doubt it.
